to decorate my songs
with rhinestones?

Roll with me
in a pile of
autumn-colored ideas?

Help me
pluck off music
stuck in my hair after,
while I dust off foreign metaphors
off your coat?

Will you help me
make dessert-y boozy drinks
with star-dust, nostalgia, fair-trade chocolate, and almond milk?

And when we are high
on hope and humor,
we could hop down
cobble-stone memory lanes
and teach everyone
how to dance?

We were always so fabulous

we could just grab some coffee sometime
